Film Scan Coparisons

Explore how various film stocks perform under different lighting conditions, exposure settings, and scanning methods. Our tool features high-resolution 6K scans of 35mm film, providing an in-depth look at each film's unique grain structure, color shifts, and tonal qualities. No color adjustments were made to the scans, either during the scanning process or afterward. Only minor exposure adjustments were applied in post-production to ensure consistency across multiple exposures. Since film scanners automatically adjust color, white balance, and contrast for each frame, this tool aims to replicate the most likely outcome of what a scanned film would look like. Depending on how well your film lab calibrates their scanners, the characteristics of you film scans might vary slightly from the Color Precision film test.
